The United States of America is a vast territory with 300 million inhabitants. It's no wonder there are landmarks galore here. Here are some of the most interesting ones in brief.

Statue of Liberty - a beacon in the harbor of New York City, located on a small island. Standing at a height of 93 meters, the monument houses a museum on the settlement of America and a spiral staircase leading to an observation deck. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, "Lady Liberty" was temporarily closed to visitors. Today, tourists can only visit the museum with permission from security services.
