The Pacific Ocean has approximately 30,000 islands! The islands of its central and southern parts are collectively known as Oceania. The total area of this territory is 1,233,000 km². Oceania is divided into volcanic and coral islands and by ethnic origin: Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia. Oceania also includes New Zealand and New Guinea. The islands are surrounded by seven seas, with the Indian Ocean to the west. The entire territory spans three climate zones, making the area very attractive to tourists!

The beautiful Hawaiian Islands, or simply Hawaii, are for many people the epitome of "paradise on Earth." Indeed, they are the very same paradise islands depicted in captivating brochures of travel agencies. However, even in paradise, not everything is smooth sailing—there is social tension, the risk of natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and typhoon attacks, and much more. However, for tourists who visit Hawaii only briefly, all of this is usually overlooked. |
